Cruise Ship Visitor

if you intend to arrive in New Zealand via cruise ship without a visa, you are required to possess an NZeTA.

Before embarking on your cruise, it's important to note the following:

If you do not possess a visa, you must obtain an NZeTA before joining your cruise.

Regarding the NZeTA, if you are flying into New Zealand to board your cruise, you should have one if

  • You are from a visa waiver country. Alternatively,

  • If your home country necessitates a visa to enter New Zealand, you should obtain a visa.

If you have a valid visa to enter New Zealand, you do not need an NZeTA

Who Does not need a NZeTA

If you are a New zealand or Australian citizen you dont required visa or NZeTA

An NZeTA is not required for the following individuals:

  • New Zealand citizens traveling on either a New Zealand passport or a foreign passport with a New Zealand citizen endorsement

  • Australian citizens using an Australian passport

  • Holders of a valid visa for New Zealand, including a Permanent Resident Visa

  • Participants or associates of scientific programs or expeditions under the Contracting Party to the Antarctic Treaty

  • Members of a visiting force, including civilian employees, traveling as part of their regular employment or duty.
