Visa waiver countries or territories

Certain countries and territories' passport holders are exempt from visa applications for traveling to New Zealand but are required to obtain an NZeTA.

Visiting New Zealand

When planning a short visit to New Zealand, it's essential to apply for an NZeTA if:

  • You hold a passport from a country listed under visa waiver countries and territories, and

  • Your visit is up to 3 months long, or up to 6 months if you are a British citizen.
